Albertans Helping Albertans Virtual 5K 2021 supporting Alberta Cancer Foundation

I am doing the Virtual 5k run in support of my best friend, Shannon Kadoski who recently celebrated 1 year of being Cancer free.
I have made the easy decision to raise funds in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Welcome to my Personal Fundraising Page! I am participating in the Albertans Helping Albertans Virtual 5k, with funds raised being directed to the Tom Baker Cancer centre in Calgary, through the Alberta Cancer Foundation. At the age of 34, my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was the scariest most sudden shock that she nor the people who love her was prepared for, and once the diagnosis was made her treatment started almost immediately. Shannon was admitted to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and within 9 quick months she had surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Although her was physically painful and mentally draining, Shannon always had great stories and nice things to say about the nurses, doctors and other patients at the Tom Baker Clinic. The team there not only treated her cancer, they gave her and her fiance so much love and support... they were so kind and did everything possible to make them comfortable, to make them laugh and to show them they were not alone through the fight.
February 14, 2021 Shannon celebrated her 1st year anniversary being cancer free.
As a partner of all 17 cancer centres in Alberta, with community support, the Alberta Cancer Foundation is making a difference in the lives of patients in every corner of our province. The funds I raise will direct impact the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. Please consider supporting our cause by clicking the ‘donate today ’ button. With your contribution, we can provide Albertans with access to the best cancer treatment and care
Thank you for making life better for Albertans and their families facing cancer.
