Dollars at Work – Albertans Helping Albertans Virtual 5k Run 

This year, more than 20,000 Albertans are expected to be diagnosed with cancer. 

No matter where an Albertan hears the words, “you have cancer” Alberta Cancer Foundation donors help to ensure they are provided with the best treatment and care available. By supporting all 17 cancer centres throughout the province, the Alberta Cancer Foundation is privileged to enhance patient care and improve comfort measures at every centre. Your generosity is easing the cancer journey for your fellow Albertans facing a diagnosis. Investments include reclining chemo chairs, blanket warmers during treatment, vital sign machines, portable cardiac ultrasounds, vein finders, upgraded waiting rooms, improved wayfinding and specialized training for staff working with cancer patients. 

Participants of the Albertans Helping Albertans Virtual 5K Run can choose to support any of the 17 Alberta Health Services cancer centres across the province. Every donation made will help drive the individual needs and vital services of your chosen centre. Albertans helping Albertans. Thank you for making a difference.
