Walk for Hope

Join Housing Assistance's 5th Annual Walk for Hope community fundraiser on Sunday, May 21st @ 1 PM! Walk with us at one of our three locations or stay connected virtually and create your own route, it's up to YOU. Together, we can take meaningful steps to address the housing crisis on Cape Cod. 

1 DAY, 3 TOWNS

Our 3-mile walk routes are coming to a town near YOU! We're excited to invite our supporters to join us again in Falmouth (Upper Cape), Hyannis (Mid Cape), and Orleans (Lower Cape) on event day. To learn more about our Walk Locations, click here!

EVENT DAY TIMELINE FOR ALL 3 LOCATIONS

12:00 PM - Registration, Music, Snacks and FUN!

12:45 PM - Opening Ceremonies

1:00 PM - Walk Starts

2:00 PM - Post Walk Music, Yard Games, Food & Giveaways

3:00 PM - Event Ends

THE CAUSE

Help us give hope to our most vulnerable neighbors needing access to critical housing services. In 2022, Housing Assistance served over 6,200 clients through education, stabilization, prevention and services for the homeless. Funds raised through this year's Walk for Hope will connect our neighbors to safe, stable housing that serves as the link to healthy families and neighborhoods and thriving communities across the Cape and Islands.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE ​

1. GET REGISTERED

Register now for the Walk for Hope. Make sure to include a photo and share your story to let people know why you're walking to support Housing Assistance Corporation.

2. START WALKING & FUNDRAISING

WALKING

This year, Housing Assistance will be hosting three separate 3-mile walks on event day in the Town of Falmouth, Hyannis, and Orleans! Participants are encouraged to join one of our walk locations, but can also stay connected virtually and create their own walk route.

Log your miles by connecting the Strava fitness app to your OneCause account and start recording your fitness activity leading up to and/or on event day!

FUNDRAISING 

Ask family, friends, and colleagues to make a pledge towards your walk! All donations are tax-deductible and support our many neighbors in need.

Share your fundraiser on social media and update your fundraising cavalry about your progress, and why safe, stable housing is important to you!

Not interested in walking, but still want to support? 

Register online to setup your own online fundraiser and help raise funds to give HOPE. We also invite supporters to donate directly to our online campaign or mail-in your donation to HAC 460 W. Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601 and include Walk for Hope in the memo line.

3. GET SOCIAL

Post pictures on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Let your friends know why you're participating in this year's walk and why housing is important to you! 

Post pictures + #HACWalkforHope23 on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and they'll be featured in our Photo Gallery! 

Follow us @haconcapecod and check out our Walk for Hope Facebook Event, and select that you're "Going"!

4. AWARDS, POINTS, AND MILESTONES

We're giving away prizes to our Top Individual Fundraiser + Top Fundraising Team on event day!

Through OneCause, you can also earn points as you fundraise, post photos, log miles, etc. AND achieve milestones.

Fundraisers will also earn special event swag. Raise $25 to receive our Walk for Hope commemorative pin. Raise $100 to receive our special event T-shirt.
