What is the Walk for Hope?

This year, Housing Assistance Corporation is proud to present the 5th Annual Walk for Hope community fundraiser! This event gives participants the opportunity to walk and raise funds to help our local neighbors in need access safe, stable housing on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Whether you're walking as an individual or with a team, you'll be offering HOPE with every step you take and every dollar you raise! You will help us give hope to our most vulnerable neighbors needing access to critical services. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

How can I help spread the word?

How do I become an event sponsor?

We appreciate your interest! By sponsoring the Walk for Hope, you will be giving hope to our most vulnerable neighbors needing access to our housing services throughout the year.

How will my donation make a difference?

You will be giving hope to our most vulnerable neighbors needing access to critical housing services during these uncertain times. By walking and donating, you'll be supporting Housing Assistance's programs and services which include: homeless prevention, homeless outreach, operating three family shelters, plus creating more affordable and attainable housing. Housing Assistance helps over 6,200 households per year secure the safe, stable housing they need to live and thrive on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Event and fundraising details at a glance?

The Walk for Hope will be celebrated on Sunday, May 21.

Walk and fundraise as an individual or on a team! Connect with friends, family and colleagues who share your passion for giving back and helping others by starting a team or joining one. Together, you’ll create more awareness to the need for more safe, stable housing in our region while showing what it truly means to be a community.

Do I need to register?

Yes! We require all adult (18+), children (11 to 17), and youth (10 and under) aged walkers to register (online or offline) before participating in the walk on event day.

ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 19TH UNTIL 12-NOON. After this time, it will be closed for event planning purposes.

WALK-INS ARE WELCOME ON EVENT DAY.  If you don't register in advance, please plan to arrive at your walk location between 12:00 and 12:30 PM. This will ensure you have enough time to register onsite before the walk begins promptly at 1:00 PM.

Is there a registration fee or fundraising minimum?

Walk-In participants on event day will be invited to make a suggested donation of $25.

We strongly encourage all online participants to raise at least $100! When supporters raise $100 they'll receive a Walk for Hope T-shirt on event day.

Do children and youth need to register?

We require all adult (18+), children (11 to 17), and youth (10 and under) aged walkers to register (online or offline) before participating in the walk on event day.

Online Registration Note: You will need to start registering at the "Adult (18+)" ticket level and complete the "Your Information" and "Your Registration" sections before the "Youth (11 to 17) and Child (10 and under) ticket levels appear in the "Additional Registrations" section.

YOUTH & CHILD WAIVERS * PARENT/GUARDIAN PERMISSION AND CONSENT

Walk Youth & Child Waiver (Download PDF) - Housing Assistance requires parent/guardian permission and consent for any underages walkers. Please complete and return your signed waiver to events@haconcapecod.org by Friday, May 19th at 12-Noon.

Youth & Children Online Registration - Our staff will follow-up with adults that registered underaged walker(s) to collect signed copies of the Youth & Child Waiver before the event. 

Youth & Children Walk-In Registration - Additionally, for any walk-in attendees on event day, we will require the parent/guardian to sign the Youth & Child Waiver on-site to confirm registration of the underaged walker(s).
