FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions


  • When I/We get to the Park where do I/We go? Head to the HSGM Registration Tent. It is the largest tent at the park and will be marked.
  • Where do Individual Walkers get their T-Shirt and Goodies?  Individuals and Packs that have not yet received their items, can pick them up at the HSGM Registration Tent when they check-in.
  • Can we still be a Pack if we don't reach the $1,000 or $500 minimum? Yes, however you, will miss out on the Pack perks such as Pack Photo, Pack sign(s), and prize eligibility as a pack. As long as each pack member raises the $50 required for individual walkers, they may still get T-shirts and Swaggin Bag. 
  • When can I distribute Pack goodies to my Pack? Pack leaders will be notified per email when T-shirts and Swaggin Bags are ready. Once your pack meets the minimum fundraising goal, you can email Walk@huamnesocietymiami.org and set up a time to pick up your pack goodies.  The latest you may pick up your pack goodies is 10/3/24.
  • Facebook fundraiser acceptable? Yes, however you must register for the walk first to be able to have your FB fundraiser link to your walk fundraising goal.
  • Will there be food and drinks? There will be food and drink vendors as well as other vendors for you to support.
  • What should I bring? Since this is an outside event, you might consider bringing hat, sunscreen, bottled water, water for your four-legged bestie if they are walking with you.
  • Are costumes acceptable? The walk is Halloween themed; we would love participants/teams to come in costume!
  • How long is the walk? The walk route is .6 miles long and we complete 1 loop.
