About Winnipeg Indy

Join local volunteers at the 2022 Winnipeg Indy Go-Kart Challenge on Sunday, September 11.  There are races at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m

We are thrilled to be able to host this event as scheduled this year but safety remains a priority. Review the measures in place at the event in the FAQ and remember to stay home if you are feeling unwell.

The first Indy Go-Kart Challenge took place in Niagara Falls, raising $3,000. In 1996, the Indy’s went National and have raised well over $1 million for the HD community. Now, as Canada's largest fundraising Go-Kart event, this volunteer-led day is dedicated to Canadian families whose lives are affected by Huntington disease.​
LAP ONE: Gather your family and friends, choose a team captain and have him/her register a team of up to six people with Vern at hscmanitoba@gmail.com 
or 204-694-1779. IMPORTANT: Your Team Captain MUST REGISTER WITH VERN to get a Race Time (either 9 am or 11 am) on Sunday, September 11.

LAP TWO: Start fundraising!! Click the Register as an Individual or Join or Start a Team button below and create your online fundraising page. Share the link to your page with anyone and everyone! Download the 
2022 Pledge Form to record cash and cheques received!

LAP THREE: Join us on race day and enjoy prizes and refreshments. Remember to arrive 45 minutes before your race time!

There is a Team fee of $360 for up to 6 people. Individuals will be placed in a team by registering with Vern and raising a minimum of $60.

Note: This is a child-friendly event; children must be 10 years old and 52 inches tall to drive a go-kart. We will have a number of "buddy Karts" available where a child and adult can ride together.
