What happens on race day?

You will arrive and check in at registration. Racing will take place, and then we will gather for prizes and refreshment! Where possible, help us reduce contact at this year's event by mailing cash and cheques (with donor information) directly to the National Office at:

What do I need to bring with me to the event?

Comfortable clothing! If you wish to wear a face mask for consideration of others at the event, we welcome this choice. Please also remember cash or cheques and your pledge form, but where possible, mail these directly to the National Office at the address listed aboved.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive a minimum of 45 minutes before your race starts, to navigate the registration process, get your team photo taken, and be ready at the start time.

What measures are in place this year to ensure safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic?

Thunder Rapids has adapted to health precautions beautifully! They are sanitizing karts and helmets after each use, providing hairnets, limiting crowding, and using physical distancing in an effective way. Concessions and bathrooms are open at 50% capacity.​

Our event committee is also closely monitoring recommendations, as well as receiving updated information from the National Office regularly. We will contact all those registered in the days before the event with any other safety practices that will be in place on event day.
