2026 Women Swimmin' & Go the Distance for Hospicare

Swim Day Schedule

Saturday, August 8, 2026

  • 5:00 a.m. - Staff & volunteers arrive at Myers Park and begin setting up.
  • 5:45 a.m. - Kayak Safety Team Members arrive at Myers Park.
  • 6:00 a.m. - Lake swimmers begin to gather for check-in at Cass Park, according to their pod assignment. 
  • 6:00 a.m. - Escort paddlers arrive at  Myers and start putting their boats in  the water.
  • 6:10 a.m. - Go-no-go decision made and announced via Facebook & website & email.
  • 6:30 a.m. - First pods of swimmers leave for Camp Comstock, from Cass Park, on the west side of the lake.
  • 7:30 a.m. - Breakfast opens for spectators and volunteers.
  • 7:45 a.m. - The Yardvarks begin to play at Myers, and merchandise and raffle sales open.
  • 9:25 a.m. - Last pod of swimmers enter the water at Camp Comstock.
  • 11:00 a.m. - Final Swimmers complete their swim and arrive at Myers Park.
  • 11:15 a.m. - Closing ceremonies, award presentation, drawing of raffle winners
  • 11:30 a.m. - Clean up begins, feel free to stay and help!

After the Swim - Party and Breakfast at Myers Park!

Friends and family are invited to enjoy bagels, fruit, and coffee. Suggested donation of $5. Stick around and listen to the music of The Yardvarks and enjoy the festivities. After all the swimmers and paddlers are ashore at Myers, we'll have closing ceremonies  and announce winners for top fundraising prizes and the total amount raised for Hospicare!
