RAIN CELEBRATED 30 YEARS

In 2022, RAIN celebrated 30 years of service to the Charlotte metro area. RAIN will continue to empower people living with HIV and those at risk to be healthy and stigma free until we end HIV in our community.

Established in 1988, World AIDS Day – December 1 - was the first global health day and honors the memory of those who've died from HIV. Each year since RAIN’s inception in 1992, we have paused to remember those lost and to unite as a community in the fight to stop the spread of the virus. In the early years, we gathered in holy places and on the street corners to read the names of those that had died.

Today, RAIN’s World AIDS Day Luncheon welcomes 400 business leaders, volunteers and HIV advocates to hear from one personally touched by HIV, to honor local heroes in the HIV field and to learn how RAIN is making an impact in our community.

RAIN needs the support of our community to continue empowering persons living with HIV and those at risk to live healthy and stigma free.
