What does my registration fee get me?

Your registration fee includes entry into the Zoo Run Run, admission on April 6 to Rosamond Gifford Zoo to race, a finisher medal and post-race snack.

I paid for another runner's registration fee. Does this count towards my personal fundraising total?

Only your personal registration fee will count towards your fundraising total. All other registration fees will count towards the registrants fundraising total, NOT towards the guest who paid.


Can I participate virtually without coming to the race on April 6?

Yes, you can register to run completely virtually. You will still receive a finisher medal and any fundraising prizes won.

Where does the race take place?

The Zoo Run Run on April 6 takes place within the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The entire course is on zoo grounds.

Is there a Fun Run?

Yes, there will be a  Fun Run for ages 7 and under. The run is one lap around the Rosamond Gifford Zoo and all participants will receive a fun run finisher medal. All participants must be registered to run.

Can I participate with a team?

Yes, when you register, you'll have the option to join an existing team or create a new team. You can invite friends to your team and compete against other teams throughout the campaign.

Are spectators allowed at the Run?

​Yes, spectators are allowed. Members will need to show their membership card upon entry into the zoo – and all other guests that wish to enter the zoo early (before 10am) will be asked for a $5 donation. After 10am – normal admission rules apply.

How do I win a fundraising prize?

Individuals can win fundraising prizes by having friends donate to their individual pages. Teams are not eligible for the individual fundraising prizes based on team totals. The team with the highest fundraising total will be eligible for a separate team prize to be announced at the run on April 6.​

Are there running waves? How do I know which one I will be in?

Yes, there are running waves. You will have the option to select which wave you are eligible for during registration. A reminder email will be sent prior to the run that includes your wave information.

  • ​Wave 1 - 7am start time (participants with times of 35 minutes or less)
  • Wave 2 - 7:40am start time (participants with times of 40 minutes or less)
  • Wave 3 - 8:30am start time (participants with times of 45 minutes or less)
  • Youth Run - 9:20am start time (Youth Fun Run)
  • Wave 4 - 9:35am start time (walkers or participants with strollers)
