Gary Banet

After graduating from Indiana University, I returned home to where my entire family has deep roots in the community. Currently, I am a business owner and attorney in New Albany.

My two children are currently attending NAFC schools, which offer a great variety of opportunities for a wide range of interests. I am currently coaching girls’ tennis at Highland Hills Middle School with my daughter, Libby.

Having worked as a Floyd County probation officer, I have seen firsthand the impact of poverty and food insecurity. That's why I am excited to support the Education Foundation and its Blessings in a Backpack program. This program ensures that children have food on the weekends and prevents the negative educational impacts of hunger.
