Laura (Morris) McGuirk

I was fortunate to work as a counselor for 22 years at New Albany High School as I had a true passion for serving the students there. My mom, Joanne Morris, is the biggest NAHS fan, and both of my children attended New Albany schools. My daughter is now a 4th-grade special education teacher at Mount Tabor Elementary. I am proud to be a part of this community!

Looking back on my high school years, I have such fond memories of Lee Kelly and Bob Dach, who were both mentors to me and encouraged me in my journey. Even in middle and elementary school, I had amazing teachers like Jean Kupferer, Mike Gilbert, and Catherine Adams, who always pushed me to do my best. These mentors are what inspired me to return to New Albany High School, and I'm honored to be a candidate for the 2023 Legacy NAFC Royal Court.
