The fundraising and need are real.
It's the community that's virtual.
AIDS WALK Charlotte, Virtual is an online fundraising initiative that allows people to register and hold their own symbolic walk while still fundraising money for RAIN. We won't have the opportunity to meet up in person on May 2nd but we've given you an extra month to fundraise.
There are no parking problems. No crowds and no long lines to check-in. We still plan to give out awards to the top fundraising teams and individuals; and you still have a chance to get a walk t-shirt.

RAIN is one of the largest HIV nonprofits in the Carolinas providing direct client services and is widely recognized for its unique model and expertise in working with persons living with HIV and AIDS.
MISSION: RAIN empowers persons living with HIV and those at risk to be healthy and stigma free.
VISION: RAIN envisions ending HIV in our community.

Step 1) Make It Personal: Personalize your fundraising page, where friends, family, and co-workers can sponsor you online.
Step 2) Talk the Talk: Now that you have a sparkling new personal fundraising page, share the link with everyone you know and ask them to donate to you for AIDS WALK Charlotte. Don’t be afraid to follow up or send reminders, and remember to thank your donors!
Step 3) Walk the Virtual Walk: Get ready for AIDS WALK Charlotte by sharing your pictures of you walking around the house, on the treadmill or around your neighborhood (keeping your social distance) and tag RAIN using #aidswalkclt and #rainclt.
