I ride because STAP does great work, to connect with other riders, and because I'm lucky enough to be able to pedal for 6+ hours in a day.
On September 7th, I'll once again pedal my bike the 102 miles around Cayuga Lake (and then some) as part of the 26th AIDS Ride for Life to support the Southern Tier AIDS Program (STAP). Please make a donation if you can. All the money I raise go towards STAP's efforts in supporting and serving some of the most underserved people in Central New York, including:
Saving Lives
In the past six years 2,658 lives have been saved with Narcan kits distributed by STAP.
Housing
In 2023, 99 individuals/families were provided with monthly housing stipends.
Health
STAP assisted over 500 clients with navigating the healthcare system, maintaining benefits, arranging transportation for medical appointments, connecting to specialty care services and more.
Food
STAP has distributed food to 5,428 people: 2,844 Adults, 1,501 Children, 1,083 Seniors. 2,143 Households.
