I am dribbling a basketball to help raise funds for Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute because they saved my life. It sounds crazy, I know! But one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. When that happens, you want a team of world-renowned experts delivering the most effective treatments and achieving the best outcome and you want it close to home. That’s exactly what Miami Cancer Institute provides, and I am living proof of the impact they make every day.

One year ago, on February 5, 2024, I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: “You have cancer.”  I was diagnosed with ER/PR+ invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph node involvement. I went through 16 rounds of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and reconstruction surgery, all under the exceptional care of Miami Cancer Institute.

Last year, just one day after my second round of chemo, my family and I walked 14 miles for Bounce Back from Cancer. This year, we’re back again, stronger than ever and we’d love your support.

Every dollar you donate helps fund groundbreaking cancer research, life-saving treatments, and patient support programs for families like mine. Let’s work together to create a world without cancer.
