About 2025 Dreams Come True 5K

September 13, 2025

Join us for the 8th Annual 5K - where heroes come to run, walk, or roll! Our signature 5K, proudly presented by TOTE, is the main event but there’s more action-packed fun in store. Join us for the one-mile Dash for Dreams, perfect for all ages, and don’t miss DreamFest — a family-friendly celebration just beyond the finish line, generously presented by Chick-fil-A. This year, we’re going full superhero mode, and we want to see you in your best cape, mask, or hero gear as we celebrate the real stars of the day: our incredible Dreamers.

Dreams Come True is the First Coast’s ONLY locally-based dream granting organization dedicated to using the power of a dream to bring hope and joy to EVERY First Coast child battling a life-threatening medical condition. Since 1984, we have fulfilled the dreams of more than 5,000 children. No child is ever denied a dream and no child is ever placed on a waiting list.

In addition to granting children’s dreams, Dreams Come True supports Dreamers and their families during their entire medical journey through the Special Times program. Special Times include treatment milestone celebrations, back-to-school supplies, holiday support, special events, concerts, meals, and even college scholarships for dreamers and their siblings.

Meet Ezra, an energetic 9-year-old from our Ambassador Team. 💙⭐

We’re honored to introduce one of our 2025 Dreams Come True 5K Ambassadors: Ezra, a courageous 9-year-old whose strength and resilience inspire everyone around him. 💙💪

Just a year ago, Ezra was a typically developing 8-year-old when an unexpected arteriovenous malformation (AVM) rupture changed everything. He spent weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, followed by a long and challenging rehabilitation journey.

Since then, Ezra has been working hard to relearn how to sit, walk, eat, communicate, and regain the everyday skills most of us take for granted. Through every step, he’s shown fierce determination and a never-give-up attitude that defines what it means to be a hero.

🦸‍♂️ Ezra’s superhero name is Ezra the Helper, and his chosen superpower is to heal AND the ability to create pizza from air to share with everyone around him.

Thank you for your support!
