2021 Walk for Hope

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Walk for Hope?

This year, Housing Assistance Corporation is proud to present the 3rd Annual Walk for Hope fundraiser! This event gives participants the opportunity to walk and raise funds to help our local neighbors in need access safe, stable housing on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Whether you're walking as an individual or with a team, you'll be offering hope with every step you take and every dollar you raise! Now more than ever, housing is the foundation to keep our community safe, happy, and healthy.

How will my donation make a difference?

You will be giving hope to our most vulnerable neighbors needing access to critical housing services during these uncertain times. By walking and donating, you'll be supporting Housing Assistance's programs and services which include: homeless prevention, homeless outreach, operating four family shelters, plus creating more affordable and attainable housing. Housing Assistance helps over 5,000 households per year secure the safe, stable housing they need to live and thrive on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Event and fundraising details at a glance?

The Walk for Hope will be celebrated virtually on Saturday, June 26th! Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, participants are invited to support this year's Walk virtually from their own routes all while fundraising to support our local community. You can walk in the weeks and days leading up to the event as well as the event day itself. Participants can walk wherever you want — on a treadmill, around your neighborhood, along the beach, on a bike path, or in a park. Last year, we had people walking and fundraising throughout Cape Cod and as far away as New Hampshire and Arizona.

Walk and fundraise as an individual or on a team! Connect with friends, family and colleagues who share your passion for giving back and helping others by starting a team or joining one. Together, you’ll create more awareness to the need for more safe, stable housing in our region while showing what it truly means to be a community.
