Welcome to the Hill Country Ride for AIDS. We are a fundraising bike ride going into our 26th year! Though our official HCRA season runs from December to May, we are working year round to do the planning that keeps our event running each year for our incredible community. We raise funds for 9 local non-profit organizations that serve Central Texas. We are proud to be a part of the unified effort to end HIV/AIDS and to support the agencies in town and encourage you to get to know them as well. Our event was birthed out of the need and participation of the same beneficiaries that we serve today and even though incredible progress has been made in the fields of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, the need is still there in our community. Our beneficiaries still work tirelessly to get people tested, so that they can start treatment within 48 hours of diagnosis, they still work with patients to help the navigate insurance/appointments and housing, and they still fight the misinformation out there about HIV that affects people's decisions and care.

There is a lot of work to do and it can be overwhelming; fortunately, our beneficiaries are experts so we get to focus on helping them to raise the funds necessary to keep doing their jobs. The Hill Country Ride for AIDS has done the work over the past 25 years to put together our event…all you have to do is decide how you’d like to help out :)

If you are a new rider…we have 13 and 27 mile route options, so that you can enjoy the Texas wildflowers with us (on May 3rd, 2025) with plenty of support along the way.

Want more distance? We also have 45 and 75 mile options for more of a challenge. All of our routes start and end at Krause Springs and come complete with pit stops, vehicle support, easy-to-access first aid, and plenty of costumes … just for the joy of it all.

Not a cyclist? Well, the support mentioned above is what puts our event over the top. This event is leveled up by how much fun our volunteers make the entire day. Elaborate themes, bright costumes, tasty treats and an outpouring of joy keep riders coming back year after year. Are you a little bit “extra”...well then we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

Our community comes together for more than just Ride Season. Some of these riders and volunteers are family to each other now and that comes from the training rides, bake sales, happy hours, game nights and potlucks that fill the HCRA season. Next year’s season officially begins December 1st 2024, and if you’d like a friendly email reminder..you need only fill out this form and we’ll email you on November 15th to give you a heads up.
