Schedule for the Day
11:30 AM-12:30 PM: Hiker registration/check-in at Van Neste Square
12:30 PM: Opening remarks and pre-walk warm-ups
1 PM: Our three-mile "hike" begins! See below for route
2 PM: Hikers return to Van Neste Square for snacks, contests, music, activities, and more. Prizes will be awarded to our Top Individual Fundraiser, Top Fundraising Team, participant who earned the Most Activity Points through our online challenges, and more
3:30 PM: Event ends
Parking: FREE street parking is available on Sundays in Ridgewood as well as at the Hudson Street Parking Garage (25 Hudson Street, Ridgewood), located a block away from Van Neste Square. Please do not park in the Ridgewood United Methodist Church lot.
Attire: Please wear comfortable clothing or athletic wear and comfortable sneakers. Hikers will receive their Hike for Hope: 30th Anniversary t-shirt upon check-in. Our event is rain or shine, so plan accordingly!
Water Bottle Policy: In partnership with Sustainable Ridgewood, this is a plastic bottle free event. We ask that all Hikers PLEASE bring a reusable water bottle to the Hike for Hope. Water stations for refills will be available to participants at Van Neste Square as well as on the route.
Refreshments: An assortment of snacks and treats will be available for Hikers before and after the walk in Van Neste Square.
