About Woof Walk 2019
Together, we can give injured and abused animals a second chance at life. One step at a time, one animal at a time.
Join us for our Woof Walk on October 26th as we walk to save animal lives. The event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. The Woof Walk welcomes over 500 animal-lovers and dogs!
It costs the Humane Society $18 a day to care for an animal. Walkers that raise $18 will receive a Woof Walk 2019 t-shirt! Those who raise $50 or more will be eligible for additional prizes as they advance to higher fundraising levels. Example prizes include, but are not limited to, a bandana for your pup, a long-sleeve premium Humane Hero t-shirt, and VIP event benefits. For detailed fundraising incentives, click here.
Sign Up, form a team, and invite your friends and family to join our cause. Then, bring your best animal friends and join us for a fun-filled morning, starting with a walk from the Humane Society Campus through beautiful Shelby Farms. Afterward, hang around for a costume contest, pet tricks for treats, food trucks, music, a kid zone, crafts, and more for you, your furry friends, and your family!

Why support the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County?
We provide medical care, shelter, food, and love to the most vulnerable animals in our community, those that have been abused, injured, and neglected
Animals stay as long as needed to find a loving forever home
We do not receive any government assistance or funding from national Humane Society organizations
We offer animal care education programs in schools and at our Shelby Farms campus, low-cost vaccine clinics, low-cost spay and neuter vouchers, pet comfort visits for senior citizens, and more
No animal dies in our care based on space or length of stay
We have been rescuing and caring for animals in need in Memphis and Shelby County since 1933
