Beginning in 1st grade at Grant Line Elementary and through middle school at Scribner and high school at New Albany, I grew up in the NAFC schools. I was blessed by the teachers who invested in me with their time, talent, and personal attention. In high school, my classes and learning experiences planted seeds within me that led to my career in media. This is why I have continued to stay involved and give back to our schools.

As a member of the first Board of Directors for the NAFC Education Foundation, I am aware of the critical role the foundation plays in our schools and community and the role YOU can play as an alumni and/or NAFCS supporter.

Ask any teacher what they think about the Foundation, and I think you’ll get your answer as to why we should contribute. One of the programs that got its start during my term on the board was Great Classroom Grants/Projects. This program helps fund projects within the classrooms that may not have happened without the $500 of foundation funds. It's an invaluable resource to our teachers and a great benefit to our students.
