Did you know?

The very first Walk for the Animals took place in 1989, with 50 people and their pets.  Last year, 742 of you registered and raised funds to help animals in need.

We would like to extend a huge round of a-paws to everyone who has walked over the years to save homeless animals and give them the second chance they deserve.

Please join us this year, so together,  we can save the lives of more animals.

Why Come to the Walk & Dog Fest?

You are the most important part of the Walk & Dog Fest!

The Nebraska Humane Society protects, saves and enriches the lives of animals in the communities we serve.  By participating in the Walk & Dog Fest you are saving the lives of more than 20,000 animals who come through our doors each year in need of shelter, care and healing before finding their forever home.  Your support makes a difference. And you can come celebrate with us on Sunday September 24th here at the Shelter from 11am - 230pm!
