"My first year, I rappelled with my sister. As "middle-aged" women, we don't have lots of opportunities to do something this fun and adventurous. My second year, I rappelled with a Girl Scout. She was clearly afraid and crying as we prepared to step off the roof of the building. When I asked if she still wanted to rappel, she replied with something like, "of course I do!" What an inspiration she was! We really bonded that day. I love when we run into each other at Girl Scouting events. We always take time to remember our great adventure." - Angie
"I enjoy high-adventure, but I signed up to do this because it's a cause that is very important to my wife and mother-in-law. It was a fun way for me to help them raise funds for an organization they have been involved in the majority of their lives." - Anthony
When you participate in Over the Edge 4 GSNI, you give kids the opportunity to thrive regardless of socio-economic or "at-risk" status. Your support directly impacts the youth in northern Illinois and allows GSNI to continue to provide low-cost or free programming and financial assistance to all Girl Scouts who need it. In Girl Scouts, kids develop strong values, a social conscience, and the ability to advocate for themselves and others.
