2026 Huntington Towpath Century Ride

FAQ

When is the deadline to register?

The final deadline to register is August 1, 2026. Register before June 15 to be guaranteed a commemorative bicycle jersey!

What is the fundraising requirement?

By registering for the 2026 Huntington Towpath Century Ride, you are agreeing to raise a minimum of $750 with the goal of $1,000. All proceeds from this event benefit the continued development and maintenance of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.

WHAT IF I REGISTERED BUT NEED TO DROP OUT?

If your plans changed, consider switching to be a Virtual Rider! Virtual Riders can complete the ride when it fits in their schedule but still fundraise, receive event materials, and fundraising awards.

The deadline to drop out of the ride completely without being held responsible for fundraising a minimum of $750 is June 1, 2026. After June 1st, any rider who wishes to drop out of the ride will be required to raise $350 to offset the costs we have already incurred for your participation.

Can i personalize my bicycle jersey?

Yes! Riders are welcome to submit their personalization request by Friday, July 31, 2026. The jersey personalization will be located on the front left panel of the jersey above the Huntington Towpath Century Ride logo.

When will i receive my bicycle jersey and all other materials for the event?

Rider bags will be available for pickup starting Tuesday, September 8, 2026. If you do not live local to Akron and will need your rider bag mailed to you, please email ecooney@ohioeriecanal.org.

can i still participate even if i am unavailable the weekend of the event?

Yes! If you can't join us physically at the event but still want to fundraise, you can register as a Virtual Rider! Virtual Riders receive event swag, are invited to join us for Rider Meetings leading up to the event to meet other riders, and receive fundraising awards! As a Virtual Rider, complete the 101 miles on your own time when you're available. Snap some photos during your ride and submit them to be shared in the e-newsletter and the event photo book.
