Step by Step: How Does Participation Work?

Step 1: Sign up as an individual baker or baking team captain (a baking team is made up of one or more people or pets).  ​

Some Baking Team Ideas:

• Co-Workers - Your office may not be under one roof the way it once was, but what better reason to bring the team together for the sweetest fundraising event of the year!
• Friends/Family - By hosting your own event with friends, family, and your Community Partner group, you can make a difference while indulging in some delicious treats.
• School – If you are a Read With Me™ Team or a student, you could get the entire school or certain grade levels involved in making tasty treats in honor of National Therapy Animal Day!
• Business - If you own or manage a café or bakery, then why not make a difference by creating a limited-edition animal-themed item, or offer to donate a dollar or percentage of sales back. This also works great if you frequent and support a local shop.

Step 2: Set a goal and personalize your fundraising page. Then invite your friends and family to join your team and donate in support of you and your pet.

Step 3: Be sure to turn in any cash or check donations collected offline by mailing them to the Pet Partners office. Don’t forget to label any mailed donations sent to our office, so we can credit those donations to your goal thermometer. Our address is 345 118th Ave SE, Ste. 100, Bellevue, WA 98005.

Step 4: It’s National Therapy Animal Day! HAVE FUN. Be sure to take pictures, post selfies of you and your pets, and share your participation on our Pet Partners social media channels. Tag us using #TreatsAndSweetsDay and #PetPartners so everyone can see what you are doing to celebrate National Therapy Animal Day!
