STEP 1: REGISTER YOUR TEAM AND CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE.
Go to p2p.onecause.com/tsonswalks to register a family walk-a-thon team. Once you have created an account and are logged in, you will be directed to your user dashboard where you can set up and manage your team, collect pledges, track miles walked, complete weekly challenges, and order t-shirts ($10 for kids; $15 for adults).
STEP 2: MAKE AN INITIAL DONATION
Team registration is FREE, but all teams are encouraged to provide an initial donation. Donations of any amount are meaningful and appreciated!
STEP 3: SET A GOAL AND GET WALKING!
Set a personal goal for your family. How far do you think you can walk in 3 weeks and how much can you raise? Take a walk around your neighborhood, go for a hike, or even take a stroll on the beach! Record your miles on your fundraising page using your preferred activity tracker, your iPhone, or by downloading Strava, a free mobile app that automatically links to your fundraising page. Please remember to wear your mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
STEP 4: SHARE YOUR PAGE AND ENCOURAGE DONATIONS
From your team page, you can send a personal link to family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to help raise funds for TSONS Walks! Share why you walk for TSONS and encourage donors to support your walking goal. Spread your TSONS love even further by tagging us on social media by using the hashtag #TSONSWalks.
WHERE DO THE FUNDS RAISED GO?
Funds raised from TSONS Walks! will support TSONS’ teachers, school programs, and health and safety measures. Thank you for your support!
YES! All donations made through our online fundraising page with all of the required information (full name and complete address) will automatically receive a charitable tax receipt by email. If you have a question about your tax receipt please contact us at tsonswalks@gmail.com.
CAN I COLLECT CASH OR CHECK PLEDGES? HOW WILL TSONS RECEIVE OFFLINE DONATIONS?
You have the option of accepting cash or check pledges from your sponsors and entering them right into our online platform so it is counted towards your goal. From your personal fundraising page, click on the navigation menu and click “Enter cash/checks” to enter in the donation amount and details. Checks and cash pledges should then be delivered to TSONS. Alternatively, you have the option of making a credit card payment to cover your sponsored offline pledges through our online peer-to-peer platform from your personal fundraising page.
CAN I SUPPORT TSONS WITHOUT FORMING A VIRTUAL WALK-A-THON TEAM?
We are very grateful for any support, whether you participate in our virtual walk-a-thon challenge or not. You can still make a donation by clicking on the "Donate" tab at the top of your screen until a drop down menu appears and selecting "Make a General Donation" or “Find a Participant/Team.” Our supporters play a vital role in supporting TSONS, our teachers and students. The TSONS Walks! virtual walk-a-thon is a fun way to stay active, social, and raise money for our amazing preschool. Earning points and competing on the leader board is open from May 1st through May 22nd. So keep walking, fundraising, and participating in challenges. Prize baskets will be awarded to our top fundraisers and top activity leaders at the end of the virtual walk-a-thon. Prizes include Disneyland/California Adventure Park Hopper Tickets (good through Dec. 2022), gift certificates to local restaurants, champagne and wine, and more! Additionally, for every challenge completed, you will receive 1 entry into our final drawing for fun prizes such as gift cards to local restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and even Disneyland tickets. So many ways to win!
