Raising money for a cause you're passionate about doesn't need to be intimidating! Your friends, family, and others in your network will be eager to support Housing Assistance because they want to support YOU.

Use Your Tools
The OneCause platform has many built-in features that make fundraising fun and easy, so be sure to take advantage of them! Some favorites include an integration with Facebook which directly links your OneCause page with a Facebook fundraiser and the ability to send emails and text messages straight from OneCause. Tell Your Story
We all have a personal reason to be Walking for Hope - what is YOURS? When you're candid about your reason for walking, it inspires others to get involved with a donation. Make a Personal Ask
People won't give if they're not asked! Although it can feel strange if you're not used to it, if you use the tools provided and share your personal reasons for being involved, making a personal ask becomes a lot easier. Your network wants to show their support for you, and you're providing them with the perfect opportunity to do it! Use the link above to learn more about making the ask.  

Share the Impact of a Gift
We can tie different gift denominations directly to the impact they'll have on the lives of the people served by Housing Assistance. Donation Logistics

Collecting Online Donations: Fundraisers are encouraged to use their online fundraising campaign to collect online donations. Spread the word by including your campaign link in solicitation letters and emails plus share it on social media!

Collecting Offline Donations: If a supporter doesn't want to process their donation online, no problem. Please have each donor complete the Walk for Hope Donation Form (Download PDF) to capture their offline donation details.

Submitting Offline Donations (Cash & Checks): Fundraisers are asked to track offline donations by filling out the Walk for Hope Pledge Form (Download PDF). This enables us to track all submitted gifts and make sure each fundraiser receives credit toward their online fundraising goal. Once you complete the steps below our staff will contact you to confirm receipt.

  • Checks should be made out to Housing Assistance Corporation with Walk for Hope and/or Team Name in the memo line.
  • Mail or drop-off your completed Pledge Form, Donation Form(s), and Cash/Checks to our main office. Please make sure to include a copy of your Pledge Form. Unless you plan to fundraise in person on event day and collect cash/checks we encourage you to submit your offline donations to our attention in advance so our fundraising totals are up to date on the big day!
    • Mail to: Housing Assistance Corporation, 460 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601
    • Drop-off in person: Hyannis office hours are M-F 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Submit your donations on the event day. Visit the Donation Station on event day to submit your Offline Donations to one of our staff members.
