Our 14th annual Walk to Remember will be held on Sunday, June 9 at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The Walk has raised more than $1.85 million since its inception in 2012. The monies raised help to improve the care and services HWR provides. We’d love for you, your family and friends to join us as we celebrate life and honor the memory of those, we hold close to our hearts that are not physically with us!
Why we walk.
While patients’ medical care for is generally covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance, many of the special programs and services we offer to enhance the patients’ end-of-life care are only possible through the generosity of philanthropic community members. Monies raised by the Walk to Remember help us to provide programs such as:
The registration fee of $30 includes all-day admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and Rainforest and a commemorative Walk to Remember keepsake. Wristbands are required for admission of each visitor and will be distributed at registration on walk day beginning at 7:30 a.m. Registration will close at 11:00 a.m. and entrance to the zoo must be made by Noon. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. with the walk kicking off at 9:00 a.m. Water will be available at water stops on the walk route. Day of registration is available.

A tribute sign is a great way to celebrate the life of a loved one! Signs will be displayed at the end of the route. Feel free to take it home with you.
A limited number of official Hospice of the Western Reserve t-shirts are available for purchase on walk day only.
