My journey through the NAFC school system was incredibly impactful and transformative. When I joined New Albany High School in the 11th grade, I was welcomed into a community that encouraged and nurtured my talents, particularly in music and theatre. It was here that I launched my career in the arts, a path that led me to double major in college and ultimately become Miss Indiana in 1993 and represent Indiana at the Miss American Pageant in Atlantic City. I owe much of my success to the incredible teachers and mentors who believed in me, especially Leah Schneider and Linda DeRungs, who saw my potential in music and helped me develop my gifts.

Southern Indiana will always hold a special place in my heart. The support I received from this community, especially during my time as Miss Indiana, was overwhelming. I’ve been blessed with opportunities to travel, perform, speak, and even release a CD titled "A Little Love”. As a real estate professional for over 20 years, I have the privilege to give back to the community that has given me so much.

As a mom, my connection to NAFC schools continues. Mason attended Highland Hills Middle School and Floyd Central High School and Cameron is an 8th grader at HHMS. Supporting the NAFC Education Foundation is my way of making sure that every student gets the same great opportunities and experiences. Our schools are something special, and it's so important that we continue to stand behind them and support them.

I believe in the power of education and the need to lift up the next generation. With a servant's heart and my faith guiding me, I'm grateful to contribute in any way I can. Being part of the 2024 Royal Court is one more way I can serve and give back to the community I love so much!
