Renee Flagler

Renee Daniel Flagler is the Executive Director of Girls Inc. of Long Island, whose mission is to empower girls to be strong, smart and bold. Renee is also an award-winning writer and a speaker who is passionate about encouraging people, especially women and youth to pursue their passion and purpose.

Renee is a board member of Life’s Worc and AFPLI (Association of Fundraising Professionals) for which she is also chair of Diversity Equity & Inclusion. Renee formerly served as a Director on the Board of the National Coalition of One Hundred Black Women, Long Island Chapter, Inc., an organization with a mission to help woman and girls advance in the areas of health, education, and economic development and served as founding Board Chair for LEAP (Literacy Empowerment Action Project) Global, an organization with a mission to provide innovative literacy, youth empowerment programming, and high school scholarships to students in Ghana, Africa.

Renee was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Business from Long Island Business News and has received numerous awards and honors for her leadership, advocacy and community service from various organizations including, The Angel Awards, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, the Uniondale Public Library, and the City of Long Beach. Renee believes that “Service is her human duty,” and has also founded a scholarship in her name for high school seniors pursuing degrees in writing and social justice disciplines.
