Excitement filled the air as our charismatic hosts, chief meteorologist Erin Christiansen and former PACC director Jose Ocaño, led us through an unforgettable day during the last parade. Their passion for animal welfare and vibrant personalities brought an extra dash of sparkle to the festivities, guiding us through a day where every moment was a snapshot of joy and every story a testimony of the beautiful bond we share with our pets.

    Parking & Transportation

The area around the Parade and Festival will be busy. Several streets, including 6th Ave, 6th St, 7th St, and a portion of 4th Ave, will be closed before and during the event. Plan ahead for how to arrive in the area most effectively.

Sun Link will run throughout the event and allow people to ride with leashed animals from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the day of the Parade. Sunlink is free to ride. The University & 3rd Ave stop provides the closest access to Parade staging, while the 4th Ave & 7th St stop is closest to the finish line and Festival.

If driving to the event, Tucson High School Animal Rescue Group offers parking at their campus lot at 6th St & 2nd Ave for $5—the parking fee is donated to Friends of PACC. The lot opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 2:30 p.m. Additional parking is available on the streets surrounding the Parade area. Be watchful for areas that require ‘24-hour enforceable’ parking permits.

If you need to drop off someone for the Parade, it’s advisable to do so at the corner of 1st St and 5th Ave or 1st St and 7th Ave.

    Join Team Willow!

Meet Willow! Willow is an adorable 7-month-old pup who needs our help. She has a ton of spirit, energy, and puppy love. Unfortunately, she has a significantly disfigured forelimb and elbow dysplasia, greatly impacting her ability to do everything puppies do. She loves to play and walk like other pups, but her disability limits her from doing all her favorite things.

Fortunately, there is a fix for her disfigured limb and elbow dysplasia, and Friends of PACC is committed to getting Willow the treatment she needs, but that will require her to visit an off-site specialist. The veterinarian feels that if we can get her the necessary medical treatment while she’s still young, Willow will live a full and happy life.

Willow and her foster family will be participating in the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade on February 18. We thought this event would be an excellent opportunity to raise support for Willow's medical care. Friends of PACC is launching Team Willow, and all registrations and donations for Team Willow will go toward this amazing pup's much-needed medical care.

According to her fosters, Willow is quite the love bug. Help us show Willow ‘the love’ by joining or supporting Team Willow and help us give Willow the care she deserves. Then join us on February 18 to cheer Willow on! Click the link to join Team Willow or donate to Team Willow today!
