The big day is almost here! Are you ready to see hundreds of amazing pets of all types and sizes? Are you ready for music, entertainment, contests, shopping, and the bright glow of the TV cameras? Are you prepared for a day you'll likely never forget? So are we!

Here are a few reminders for the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade.

There are three check-in opportunities:

1) 2/17 4 - 6 p.m. at Tucson Subaru (4901 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704).

2) 2/18 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Tucson Subaru.

3) 2/19 8:30 - 10 a.m. in the Nonstop for Tucson Staging Area. (corner of 5th St & 3rd Ave., near Roskruge K-8 School)

We highly recommend the 2/17 or 2/18 check-ins.

Check-in Hack:

Ask for additional dog tags if you have kids walking with you.
If you have multiple pets, ask for extra bandanas.
If you ordered a Petsicle, remember to get it.

Nonstop for Tucson Staging Area:

The Parade is staging next to Roskruge K-8 School on E. 5th Street & N. 3rd Ave.
You will be assigned a Group # at check-in. Look for and wait at/near the sign with your number.
Staging/Check-in opens at 8:30 a.m.
The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. All groups will be on the Parade route by 11:00 a.m.
This is a residential area, so please be mindful of private property.

Staging Hack:

Groups with vehicles will be on 3rd Ave. Non-vehicle participants will be on 5th St.

Parking:

There are many options for parking, including Tucson High School, street parking, and a parking lot at 5th Ave and 7th St. Refer to the attached map.

Parking Hack:

Ride the StreetCar. It's free, and leashed pets are allowed to ride on the day of the Parade.

Parade Route:

The route is 0.7 miles long. There will be occasional stoppages.
We will be releasing groups in 30-second increments. Please be mindful of keeping that distance along the route so that the TV cameras can capture each group.
Please pick up after your pets along the route.

Parade Hack:

Along the route, there will be a photographer at the StreetCar with the Parade mural. Stop to get a group photo.
Sun Link Streetcar Photo Contest: Be sure to take a pic in front of our cool Sun Link Streetcar ad/Mural on Parade day, Sunday, Feb 19. It will be near the intersection of 6th St and 4th Ave. Then share your pic on Instagram with the hashtag #POPPTucson, and be randomly selected to win two free tickets to Roadhouse Cinemas and a $50 gift card to buy dinner or drinks! The contest ends Tue, Feb 21, at 5 p.m. Winner will be DM'd via Instagram on or before Thursday, Feb 23. Good Luck!

4 Legs on 4th Festival:

Where the Parade ends, the Festival begins! Plan time to stick around for live entertainment, adoption event, FunZone, dozens of vendors, and the shops and restaurants along 4th Avenue.

The program in your participant pack will have details about Festival activities.

Festival Hack:

PACC will offer microchipping, and Tucson Federal Credit Union will make Pet Emergency contact cards.

TV Re-broadcast:

Be sure to watch yourself on the TV re-broadcast of the Parade.

The event will air on KMSB FOX11 on 2/26 at 9:00 a.m. and 3/5 at 9:00 a.m. It will also air on KTTU MY18 on 2/26 at 2:00 p.m. and 3/5 at 2:00 p.m. (check your local listings)
