TASIS Dorado is charging into October with a fun, inspiring, and engaging activity! — the TD IRONBEAR 30x30 Challenge!

Join your fellow IRONBEARS as we walk, run, cycle, and swim together for TASIS Dorado. Connect with your classmates and GET UP and MOVE in a friendly competition! This is TASIS Dorado's first school-wide, virtual, wellness activity! It's simple and easy to get started!

OUR GOAL

Head into the holiday season in a healthy, energized, and active way! In addition to reaching your fitness-activity goal and building school spirit, this challenge also aims to raise funds for our future TASIS Dorado Wellness and Athletics Center. How far can you and your team go?

HOW DOES IT WORK

STEP 1: Click on "About" in the drop-down menu above to register and join a team--or create your own team with family and friends! Track your progress, and earn great prizes by creating a fundraising page.

STEP 2: Personalize your own page with photos and a message.

STEP 3: Share your page with family and friends; post progress pictures along the way!

Any member or friend of the TASIS Dorado community can register their own IRONBEAR Challenge page, create or join a team, and collect donations for their 30x30 challenge. TD Students can join their grade-level team or create/join their own team.

Choose from a minimum of 30 minutes per day of either walking, running, cycling, or swimming. You can mix it up. The important thing is to GET UP and MOVE! Download an activity tracking app to your smartphone; some examples include Strava, MyfitnessPal, Runkeeper.

WHEN IS THE CHALLENGE

October 19 through November 17, 2020. The IRONBEAR Challenge will run for 30 days. During this time, participants must commit to a minimum of 30 minutes of any combination of walking, running, cycling, or swimming for 30 days. Remember, TRACK YOUR TIME!

WHERE IS THE CHALLENGE

At home, in the neighborhood, at a favorite beach, park, or trail or any other location safe to exercise! Students can complete their minutes and miles with family during the campaign period and share fundraising progress.

WHY ARE WE HAVING THE IRONBEAR CHALLENGE?

In addition to having fun and building our strength, we are excited to push towards our fundraising goal of $3M for our future Wellness & Athletics Center! We have raised $2M so far and this IRONBEAR Challenge will move us closer to our goal. Thank you for your support and participation!

THE FUN STUFF

Participants can create their own team or join an existing team. Search for one of the following teams on the registration page:

PPK/PK/KINDER through 12th grade teams, for a total of 13 teams--(Children under 13 must register with parent's unique email)
Parents who want to participate can join a child's team.
Faculty & Staff
Alumni/Parents of Alumni
Board of Directors

Teams compete based on participation and fundraising with recognition and prizes to be awarded to the TOP Teams in various categories. There are two ways to win prizes:

Participants who raise $150 or more are entered into a raffle with 3 winners announced on Fierce Fridays! Prizes include a variety of gift certificates ranging from $10 to $25.
Tier prizes are distributed when individual participants reach set levels of fundraising at the completion of the challenge. Tiers are set at $50, $100, $250 and $500. These prizes include TD spirit wear, such as socks, water bottles, caps, and hoodies, respectively. Participants receive one prize based on their final fundraising total.
