AIDS WALK Charlotte 2026 continues to be the largest HIV fundraising event in the Carolinas, and DRAG WITH PURPOSE is once again stepping up on Saturday, May 30 to walk in solidarity, compassion, and purpose. Last year, Drag With Purpose raised over $3,200 for Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN) and proudly received the Team Spirit Award for our vibrant presence, fierce fundraising, and unapologetic community visibility at AIDS Walk Charlotte 2025.

But for us — it’s never just about walking.
It’s about why we walk.

What Is Drag With Purpose?

Drag With Purpose is a collective of drag artists and community leaders committed to using drag as a platform to raise vital funds for RAIN in the fight against HIV/AIDS. As a diverse community with unique perspectives, we recognize that our greatest strength is unity. By standing together, we amplify our impact, foster visibility, and uplift one another with positivity. Through the power of drag, we use our voices to create change and support those in need.

We believe drag is more than entertainment — it is activism in heels.

This year, we walk again to:

• Show compassion for neighbors lacking full access to healthcare and wellness resources
• Fight HIV stigma that still exists today
• Remember those we have lost
• Celebrate those living fully with HIV
• Anticipate — and actively work toward — the end of HIV in our community

We are coming together not just as entertainers, but as advocates.

Because we are still here.
Because our community deserves better.
Because DRAG HAS POWER!
