Take on one of the most exciting and demanding competitions of Castlewood Plays for Hope during the Golf Relay Challenge benefiting Hope Hospice.

This high energy team competition will test endurance, teamwork, pace, and strategy as teams of five players work together to complete 100 holes of golf in a unique relay format. Throughout the day, players will rotate in timed waves, handing off the cart and continuing the challenge in support of compassionate care for local patients and families throughout the Tri Valley.

Event Format

  • Team competition featuring 5 players per team
  • Teams will collectively complete 100 holes of golf
  • Each player has a 2 hour time limit to complete 18 holes
  • Relay format with staggered tee times:
    • Player 1 begins at 7:00 AM
    • Player 2 begins at 9:00 AM
    • Player 3 begins at 11:00 AM
    • Player 4 begins at 1:00 PM
    • Player 5 begins at 3:00 PM

Event Schedule

6:00 AM – 6:30 AM
• Player 1 arrival and check-in at the Valley Clubhouse

6:30 AM
• Breakfast and review of rules, pace of play, and hole assignments

6:50 AM
• Players head to carts and starting holes

7:00 AM
• Shotgun start

8:30 AM
• Player 2 arrival and check-in

9:00 AM
• Player 2 begins play

10:30 AM
• Player 3 arrival and check-in

11:00 AM
• Player 3 begins play

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Lunches available for pickup at the Valley Clubhouse

12:30 PM
• Player 4 arrival and check-in

1:00 PM
• Player 4 begins play

2:30 PM
• Player 5 arrival and check-in

3:00 PM
• Player 5 begins play

5:00 PM
• All players return to the clubhouse

5:30 PM
• Dinner, awards presentation, prizes, and live auction at the Hill Clubhouse

Registration Fee

$1000 per player through direct donation or peer-to-peer fundraising: once registered, you will receive your own fundraising page that can be easily shared with friends, family, colleagues, and fellow participants.

Registration includes event participation and admission for two (yourself and a guest) to the Sunday, August 30 dinner (gourmet dinner & hosted bar) and live auction at the Hill Clubhouse.
