General Questions

Q: What does participation support?

A: Proceeds from the Skills Challenge benefit Hope Hospice and help provide compassionate care and caregiver support services to local patients and families throughout the Tri-Valley community.

Q: Can you participate in more than one event?
A: Yes, you can participate in more than one event, but you must register separately for each one.

Q: Can I choose my playing partner(s)? 

A: Yes. Players can register individually and indicate teammates during registration.

Q: What about meals and refreshments? 

A: See the specific schedule for the event you are interested in for when food and drinks will be served. There will also be a big dinner celebration on Sunday for all participants.

Q: What about weather? 

A: Castlewood for Hope will be played in August for ideal weather conditions.

Q. Where are all the activities located?

A: See the specific events descriptions for the location of each activity.

Q: What is peer to peer fundraising?

A: Peer to peer fundraising allows participants to raise their registration fee by asking friends, family, colleagues, or supporters to contribute toward their fundraising goal. Participants will receive tools and information to help share their fundraising page and collect donations in support of Hope Hospice.

Q: How does scoring work? 

A: See the specific descriptions under each individual activity for how the scoring will be implemented.  

Dinner & Auction

Q: What takes place during the Sunday evening dinner?

A: The Sunday evening celebration includes dinner, awards presentations, a live auction, and fundraising activities benefiting Hope Hospice.

Q: Can someone just register for Sunday’s dinner and not the activities?

A: Yes. The fee is $125 per member for just dinner. Members may bring non-members as guests at $125 per guest. Tables of 10 are also available at $1250 per table.

Q: Who is the auctioneer for the evening?

A: The evening will be led by acclaimed emcee and auctioneer Ellen Toscano, known nationally as “The Singing Auctioneer” and recognized as one of the country’s leading benefit auctioneers.

Sponsorship & Donations

Q: Are sponsorship opportunities available?

A: Yes. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, families, and individuals interested in supporting Castlewood Plays for Hope and Hope Hospice.

Q: Can I donate auction items or experiences?

A: Yes. Donations of auction items, experiences, services, and gift cards are welcomed and appreciated.

Q. Are donations tax deductible?

A: Castlewood Plays for Hope benefits Hope Hospice, a nonprofit organization. Additional tax information will be provided upon donation.

Q. How do I share my personal page after I register??
