We look forward to welcoming you back in 2023 for the biggest and best road race in town!

All of our events – the 5K road race, the 5K fun run, and the 3K walk – are chip timed.

The 5K road race is intended to be a competitive event for participants with an anticipated finish under 40 minutes. Results will be ranked according to chip time, as well as age and gender. Alternatively, the 5K fun run is intended to be non-competitive, and results will be posted alphabetically without ranking. If you intend to finish in less than 25 minutes you should be in the 5K race.

Our run course is a challenging, rolling course with a very competitive field, bringing out some of New England’s fastest runners (check out previous years’ race results below!)

The walk course has a parade-style start up Main Street. The picturesque route loops the Smith College campus, and then comes back through downtown Northampton, concluding with a march through the finish line!

We ensure safety with road closures, and we work with the Northampton Police Department to provide course marshals at all intersections along the route.

Prizes are awarded to our fastest runners and biggest fundraisers!
