Customize Your Pet's Fundraising Page

Setting up your pet's fundraising page will help them successfully raise funds to support Pet Partners. You can efficiently use online fundraising to spread the word to friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors about your efforts and encourage them to make donations online. Candidates who raise funds online will typically raise more than double the donations of candidates who choose not to fundraise online. 

• Step 1: Personalize your pet's page by adding a profile photo of them wearing their "Official Candidate" bandana. For the best photo results, take the picture in landscape mode. This is when you hold your phone sideways/horizontally. Let everyone know why your pet is competing and raising funds for Pet Partners.
• Step 2: Personalize your message. Your supporters are more likely to donate if they understand your pet's story and why supporting therapy animal work is important to your family.
• Step 3: Send personalized emails to potential supporters to improve your pets fundraising success! Make a goal to send at least 15 personalized emails inviting your friends, family, co-workers, and local businesses to support your pet's efforts in becoming Pet Partners Pet of the Year. It helps to create a list of places your pet goes somewhat regularly, such as their veterinarian, groomer, pet-friendly stores and restaurants where they are a regular, and other places you and your pet go frequently. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

Form a fundraising committee of 3-8 friends, family, and co-workers to grow your network and reach more people to help crown your animal Pet Partners Pet of the Year! The more people making asks, the greater success your pet candidate will have. 

We are happy to set up committee calls to discuss who you know and create a targeted ask list so that when fundraising begins on February 5, you will be set up for success.

Share, Share, Share! Posting photos and videos of your sweet pet will inspire others to donate in their honor and want to get involved. Use your social media channels to raise money and awareness for #PPPetOfTheYear and #PetPartners. You never know who might see your posts and want to help your pet become the Pet Partners Pet of the Year!
