Equality Texas is largest statewide nonprofit fighting for LGBTQIA+ Texans. 

Equality Texas works to secure full equality for LGBTQIA+ Texans through education, community organizing, strategic advocacy, and direct support. Across the state, we help people facing discrimination get connected with help and resources with programs like the Equality Texas Help Desk and Rainbow Rights Roadshow. We train future advocates and develop new movement leaders through the Civic Engagement Collectives and Equality Leaders. 

By educating Texans on the issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community and empowering them to take action, we aim to build individual and collective power to fight anti-LGBTQIA+ attacks in Texas, protect our freedoms, and advance our rights. We also partner with other organizations, working in multiple coalitions to reach more people and build long-term change. 

At a time when LGBTQIA+ nonprofits are facing increasing political attacks, shrinking funding, and growing demand for services, this work has never been more urgent. As some funders step back and donations decline, the need for community support continues to rise, making it critical for more people to step in and join this movement.  

Our goal is simple: to ensure every Texan can live safely, openly, and with dignity—and that communities across Texas are stronger and more inclusive because of it.
