Starting your Team
1. Go to the Registration Page and create a OneCause account.
(If you already have one, it will prompt you to login)
2. Select Start a Team, and follow the instructions to make your personal account. You can always change your Team name later. If you're joining an already-existing team, you can search for it instead of starting your own.
If you're the one starting the team, you'll receive an email with a link for managing your Team page, along with a link to share your prospective supporters.
3. Decide whether you want all team members to use your main Team page or if you'd like to encourage them to each make individual pages.
Individual pages allow teammates to make personal goals and tell their stories, but all donations on their page will contribute to the Team total. Individual pages are optional—teammates can always fundraise using the Team page.
4. Build out your Team page by navigating through the tabs shown. Make adjustments as needed under Manage your team page → Settings. You can even password-protect your team in case you only want people you've invited to join.
5. Set up your individual page, if you want to—or choose to have your individual profile redirect to the Team page. Customize your individual and Team page however you like!
- Set a goal (this can always be changed later)
- Edit your Team and individual messages to tell your story
- Add photos to show off your team's Pride!
If you ever go back to editing, you can always hover over your name in the top right and click Manage My Page.
6. When you're done customizing your pages, use the templates in your Team settings to invite your teammates to create their pages. Or, just use your Team page link to start spreading the word and collect your first donations!
Use your Dashboard and the Pride with Purpose leaderboards to keep up with your progress, and don't hesitate to reach out to our team at donate@equalitytexas.org if you have any questions.
7. Start reaching out to your network and sharing your new Pride with Purpose Team (or Individual) Page to fundraise for LGBTQIA+ equality in Texas!
