Q. Can I register on the day of the event?
A. Yes, you can sign up as virtual participant on 9/26/20. Please note, your t-shirt and medal will be delivered within two weeks of signing up.
Q. I registered for the WCS Run for the Wild prior to it changing to a Virtual Run. How does that work now?
A. Like all of you, we've been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and its effect in New York. With limitations on gatherings and inability to create an event that can comply with social distancing mandates, we've decided to make our WCS Run for the Wild a Virtual event.
We made this decision out of an abundance of caution and based on the recommendations and guidelines from the CDC, New York City and State, and Department of Health. This is one of our favorite annual events and we know many of you feel the same way. That's why we wanted to preserve it as best as we could and continue to make tracks for wildlife and other threatened species. We need your help now, more than ever
You will automatically be transferred to a Virtual Participant and will receive the following benefits:
Q. When and how to I get run bib and t-shirt?
A. All bibs will be sent to you via email to download and print. 2020 RFTW shirts will be mailed to you. For those who signed up prior to June 2020, materials will be mailed out the week of September 7. For those who sign up between July, August, and early September, your t-shirts and medals will be mailed during the weeks of September 14 and September 21. For those who register mid- late September, please allow two weeks for delivery from registration.
Q. When will I receive my purchased merchandise?
A. All orders received by 9/4 will ship on 9/11. Orders placed after the 9/4 will be shipped within two weeks.
Q. Where should I run?
A. Be creative when choosing your course. Walk or run in your neighborhood, on local trails and tracks, or even on a treadmill at home. It's the honor system but please share pictures of your run with us using the #WCSRunForTheWild. Please remember to practice social distancing.
Q. What is the refund policy?
A. There are no refunds on registration fees or donations for WCS Run for the Wild.
Q. Do I get a Run for the Wild T-shirt?
A. All registered participants (ages 3+) will receive a WCS 2020 Run for the Wild T-shirt.

Q. If someone mistakenly makes a donation on behalf of a team instead of an individual on a team, can that be fixed?
A. Yes, in the event that a gift needs to be reassigned, please email email@example.com.
Q. Does the WCS Run for the Wild accept matching gifts?

Q. Does my registration fee apply toward fundraising prizes?
A. No. Your registration fee does not apply toward fundraising prizes, however if you did not meet the minimum donation, you still will receive a WCS RFTW t-shirt.
Q. I started my fundraising efforts before RFTW became a Virtual event, will I still receive my prizes?
A. Yes! In fact, for those who had reached levels 1 and above, you will automatically be bumped up to the next level as a way for us to say thank you for your continued support. Prizes will be mailed to the address you provided during registration. Please note, level 4 bump to level 5 only includes tote bag upgrade. For level 5 you will receive ticket vouchers along with a meal voucher to use at a future visit. If you opted out of prizes, unless we hear from you, we will assume you still want to opt out of receiving prizes (except your t-shirt – it's a nice one!)
Q. If my team reaches the suggested fundraising goal, will everyone on my team receive the prizes?
A. No. Fundraising prizes are awarded to individuals who meet the required level to earn that prize.
Q. If I register under an existing corporate team, am I entitled to the prizes that the team's fundraising efforts achieved?
A. No. Fundraising prizes can only be earned by individuals, not teams.
Q. How will I be able to claim my prize(s)?
A. If you have qualified for prizes based on your personal fundraising success, your prize(s) will be mailed to the address you used when you registered.
Q. Will I be eligible for prizes if I send my donations on the day of the Virtual Run or shortly thereafter?
A. Yes. Donations will be processed within two weeks after the Virtual Run and prizes will be mailed to the address you listed upon registration. *Remember, fundraising prizes are awarded to individuals, not teams.
