You can return to your vehicle after the race to retrieve your belongings, just make sure to keep your race bib on. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
If you have received your race materials (bib and shirt) already, you are not required to check in and can proceed to the start line after having any bags inspected.

All participants please keep in mind that this race will feature staggered starts to improve the flow of runners on the course. Look for the pace group signs (7 MIN, 8 MIN, 9 MIN, 10 MIN +) posted along the start line. Faster runners to the front! Once within your predicted pace group, wait until your wave is directed to start the run. The waves will be released at regular intervals, with the first wave (7 MIN pace group) leaving at the first starting horn, followed by an additional starting horn for each subsequent start. Because this event is not a competitive or official timed race, runnersÕ race net times will NOT be recorded from when they cross the start and finish line. Please clock yourself and take note of the time you cross both the start and finish line for an accurate 5K time.
We ask that you adhere to all staff instructions and posted signs, and remain only on the running lane. Your safety is our greatest concern. Please keep the course clear after completing your race for participants in the 9:30 a.m. 3K run/walk.
The WCS Run for the Wild schedule and a listing of post-Run activities is available at the WCS Run for the Wild website.
There will be no bag check. Participants may return to their cars to collect belongings once their race is completed, as long as race bibs are clearly worn. Any bags being brought into the Zoo must be inspected by security staff prior to lining up at the start line.
