My sincere, deep and true wishes that life has been beautiful for you all this past year. It's been a doozy of a year for me — I'm taking a breath to offer gratitude for the wonderful people in my life. Without my people, I would feel lost. I'm grateful for their loving, listening, caring, and thoughtfulness. As I hit pause on my own life to look up, it struck me yet again just how challenging and isolating it can be for those who do not have a support system.

I've slacked this year on reaching out for support to help raise funding for the incredible work that Safe Passage provides for those who have experienced domestic violence in our community. This bums my heart out and I apologize for the last minute-ness of my message. Fundraising deadline is in a few days! Would you consider a gift to Safe Passage to help me reach my goal before the end of the week?

I know we are faced with inflation, life increases, and so many demands on our time and money, but I am dedicated to reaching out to raise support for those who don't have a network. This year's Hot Chocolate Run to support Safe Passage reflects that dedication to building a support cushion for those who need it. Safe Passage provides safety, hope, and healing to adults and children experiencing domestic violence in Hampshire County and surrounding towns. Would you consider a gift to Safe Passage to help become a part of a larger, more compassionate support system in our community?

Once again I'll be out-of-breathing the hills this year in Northampton in the Annual Hot Chocolate Run. If anyone wants to greet my red face as I cross the line with a high five or a promise to go out for a hot breakfast, I wouldn't turn that down, either!
