Team Bike Curious is comprised of members of Team Snacks cycling club and volunteers and riders for Project Transitions.
About Team Snacks:
Team Snacks is a women, trans, femme, & gender non-comforming cycling club in Austin, TX. They endeavor to promote safe spaces in cycling, cycling education, and support riders of all skill levels and diciplines Each year, Team Snacks teams up with Project Transitions to help raise funds in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, forming the Team Snacks x Project Transitions Alliance, Team Bike Curious.
About Project Transitions:
Project Transitions is one of the beneficiaries of the Hill Country Ride for AIDS. From small beginnings in 1986, Project Transitions has grown to be a vital part of care and housing for people living with HIV in Austin. The funds raised by the HCRA go directly to providing housing, medical and social care, and support for people who are living with HIV, and enables Project Transitions to continue to provide and expand these services.
Bike Curious welcomes all people of any gender, and riding a bike in the Hill Country Ride is fun, but not the only way to contribute! We have many volunteer opportunities off the bike as well.
The HCRA has raised more than $10,000,000 for people affected by HIV/AIDS in our community, and this year we want to help them raise even more!
This money will go directly to 9 local non-profits assisting those in Central Texas affected by HIV/AIDS. There are more people in need than ever before, and frighteningly the numbers are rising, especially among our younger generation.
We would be so grateful for any donation you can share in our quest to help provide much needed services.
