Where do my fundraising dollars go?

Every year the Hill Country Ride for AIDS provides much needed funds to 9 local nonprofits focused directly on HIV/AIDS services. Every aspect of care is covered with these agencies: prevention, testing, medication, housing, counseling, social services, and hospice care.

The HCRA is the largest fundraiser for these agencies, and your dollars make an immediate, critical impact on their ability to fulfill their mission. Fundraising continues through the entirety of May of 2025, and checks are delivered to the agencies in person in July. It’s an amazing day to see their gratitude at all levels for the hard work and generosity of so many.

Our beneficiaries also all have teams made up of volunteers and riders.  Participants who are on teams report feeling more engaged in the HCRA and find it easier to return year after year. 		allgo allgo is a statewide queer people of color organization. allgo envisions a just and equitable society that celebrates and nurtures vibrant people of color queer culture. allgo works towards its vision through cultural arts, health, and advocacy programming by supporting artists and artistic expression within our diverse communities, promoting health within a wellness model, and mobilizing and building coalitions among groups marginalized by race/ethnicity, gender/gender identity, and sexual orientation/sexual identity to enact change. allgo also works to create and sustain a statewide network of queer people of color activists, groups, organizations, and allies, which through nourishment of relationships, grassroots organizing, and artistic expression can radically transform systems and policies toward a collective liberation. Funding allgo receives from the Hill Country Ride for AIDS is used to support HIV/AIDs outreach and education and purchase and distribute safer sex supplies at community events, our office site, and at allgo events.  Click here to join Team allgo.
		ASHwell Founded in 1988, Ash+Well improves the lives of Central Texans living with, at risk for, and affected by HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis C through outreach, education, health and holistic services, and care coordination.  Services include: HIV testing and linkage to care, HIV support group, housing case management, HIV medical and non-medical case management, and complementary health therapies (acupuncture, massage therapy) for persons living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. 		CARE Program The Community AIDS Resources and Education (CARE) program, of the Austin-Travis County MHMR Substance Abuse and Special Services division, provides HIV testing and prevention counseling and education, street outreach for needle cleaning/exchange, case management for drug and mental health treatment, support groups, and housing assistance. 		Community Action, Inc. Community Action, Inc. Rural AIDS Services Program (RASP) creates a positive social impact through case management services by developing a partnership between the client and case manager to maintain client independence and increase access to HIV medical care. Services include case management, transportation services to and from medical and dental appointments, and financial assistance for food, rent, utilities, and prescriptions in Hays, Caldwell, Blanco, Bastrop, Burnet, Fayette, Lee, Llano, and Williamson counties.  Click here to join Team CAI.
		Friends of David Powell Clinic Through the Friends of David Powell Health Center, money raised helps support the only public clinic specializing in medical care for persons with HIV and AIDS. The Clinic provides primary care, medical case management, immunizations, nutritional counseling, and health education services. All services are available to uninsured and underinsured HIV-positive patients in all stages of HIV infection. Click Here to join Team FODPC.
		Out Youth  Out Youth’s mission is to promote the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well being of sexual minority youth so they can openly and safely explore and affirm their identities. Out Youth’s vision is for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth in central Texas to receive the support and services needed to develop positive self-images and lead healthy, productive, and self-sufficient lives. 		Project Transitions Project Transitions is dedicated to providing hospice, housing, and support to people with HIV/AIDS in a compassionate and caring environment. 		Vivent Health Vivent Health provides quality direct-care services to persons with HIV and AIDS. Services include case management, a food pantry, community education and outreach, direct service volunteers, and nutritional consultation. Vivent Health also provides primary dental and oral medical care through the Jack Sansing Dental Clinic, as well as free legal assistance through the Capital Area AIDS Legal Project.  Click here to join Team Vivent.
		Texas Health Action  Texas Health Action (THA) is a community-informed non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to culturally affirming, quality health services in a safe and supportive environment with expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ people and people impacted by HIV. Since 2015, Texas Health Action has provided health services without stigma or judgment and has empowered the community through outreach and education. Texas Health Action operates Kind Clinic, which provides sexual health services through locations across Central Texas; TeleKind, which provides sexual health services via virtual visits and at-home testing; and Waterloo Counseling Center, which provides behavioral health services in Austin.  Click here to join team Texas Health Action/Kind
