Pet Partners Pet of the Year 2026

Help crown me the 2026 Pet Partners Pet of the Year!

Please join us in supporting Pet Partners and our efforts to raise funds during the 2026 Pet Partners Pet of the Year competition. You can help our team to be crowned the Pets of the Year by joining our fundraising committee, donating to our campaign, or both! 

Our team name honors a beloved former therapy dog, Legend, who served for many years as a team with his owner, Kristi Kay May. During his lifetime, Legend impacted countless people through his therapy visits, and he continues to inspire pet therapy teams and pet therapy teams in training. Every time Kristi teaches a Pet Therapy Prep class, evaluates prospective pet therapy teams, and mentors pet therapy teams, Legend is there.  He is there for every pet therapy visit conducted by the teams Kristi has coached, mentored, and evaluated. He is there for every tail wag, every gentle snuggle, and every soft pet.  His legacy lives on in all of us.  

By supporting our fundraising efforts as a pet team candidate, you will be directly supporting Pet Partners therapy animal teams who interact with a wide variety of clients including veterans with PTSD, seniors living with Alzheimer’s, students with literacy challenges, patients in recovery, people with intellectual disabilities, and those approaching end of life. They believe that the human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial relationship that improves the physical, social, and emotional lives of those we serve.
