I’m Jack Kane, the Weekend Anchor for WPSD Local 6 in Paducah, Kentucky. I was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and graduated from T.C. Williams High School in 2015. I later graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 with a degree in Electronic News.
During my time in Tuscaloosa, I found a passion, raising money for childhood cancer research. I served as a board member for the University of Alabama chapter of the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. While serving with the B+ Foundation, my fraternity, Sigma Pi, was able to represent one of the local heroes, Nicholas, who is in remission from his battle with leukemia.
No family should ever hear a doctor tell them, “Your child has cancer.” That’s why I’m dancing for Gold. I hope my small act can make a difference in the ongoing fight against childhood cancer.
