The mission of the Hill Country Ride for AIDS is to raise critical funds to support the life-saving programs and services that its beneficiaries provide to people affected by HIV in Central Texas.
Check out the Sample Email already in OneCause, but if you’re looking for another option, we’ve got several, below.

Hello friend! I’m participating in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS’ Virtual Ride campaign! I’m raising money for 9 local beneficiaries that provide critical services to those living with HIV/AIDS in Central Texas. These organizations have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 crisis. Not only are they facing a huge funding shortfall for existing services, but they are also facing new expenses as they adapt to caring for a vulnerable community while observing social distancing.
Please help me reach my goal of <$MONEY> by donating to me at <include your fundraising page link>! If you aren’t able to donate, please share this message on your social media with #HCRA2020, and help us fundraise by asking your friends & families to contribute!

Sample Short Post (Overview):
This is a critical time for not only the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, but also for all of the beneficiaries it supports and the clients they serve. I am continuing to fundraise with the Ride through June 25, 2020 in order to help raise the necessary funds to deal with the additional expenses of this outbreak and continue to provide live-saving services for those in need. Please help me by donating! <include your fundraising page link> #HCRA2020
Sample Long Post (Overview):
The 2020 Hill Country Ride for AIDS has moved to a completely virtual campaign and I’m participating! Help me raise critically needed funds for the Ride’s beneficiaries and their clients, who need our support now more than ever.
Due to COVID-19, people living with HIV are now facing additional barriers to life-saving care and services. The Ride’s beneficiaries are responding to the pandemic by adapting services, but this is creating new, unexpected expenses on their already tight budgets. Please donate as you are able so we can help them during this difficult time.
Every donation and every campaign share gets us closer to our goal. If you are able, then please make a donation. If you are not able to make a donation, then consider joining me as a Virtual Rider and helping us fundraise by asking your friends and family to help too.

Sample Short Post (About Beneficiaries):
All of the Ride’s beneficiaries are facing additional challenges to service delivery and people living with HIV are now juggling additional barriers to accessing life-saving care in the wake of COVID-19. The single best thing you can do now is helping us fundraise through the Virtual Ride campaign. If you are able, then please contribute towards this cause. <include your fundraising page link> #HCRA2020
Sample Long Post (About Beneficiaries):
COVID-19 has radically changed the way we all live our lives, but one thing it hasn’t changed is the needs of our most vulnerable. Thousands are living with HIV/AIDS in Central Texas, and they need our support now more than ever.
That’s why I’m participating in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS’ Virtual Ride. It is a critical fundraiser for 9 local beneficiaries who are facing both existing and new challenges to providing life-saving services. If you can, please donate <include your fundraising page link>.
Your donation will become masks, medications, a friendly face in isolation, and so much more.
Your donation will help pay for a van so Project Transitions can keep taking their clients to medical appointments while observing social distancing. It will allow Waterloo Counseling Center to keep patients who have lost their jobs or been furloughed in care. It will pay for medication co-pays for Friends of David Powell Clinics patients who are no longer able to pay. Every one of the nine beneficiaries is facing new and existing needs, and they need your help to meet them.
If you can, please donate. If you can’t, please help us spread the word with #HCRA2020.
Thank you!
