The Hill Country Ride for AIDS raises funds for 9 local non-profits, which provide life-saving care and support for people in Central Texas affected by HIV/AIDS.

Not only is this event a thrilling ride through the beautiful Texas hill country, but also an opportunity for us to educate our communities on prevention strategies, celebrate our long-term survivors, and memorialize those we've lost.

20 years ago, this community came together to raise critical, life-saving resources for many affected by HIV and dying from AIDS-related complications.

It is now possible for someone living with HIV to achieve the same life expectancy as someone HIV-negative. Our beneficiary agencies provide the ongoing support and services that make this a reality. Your support helps provide services for thousands who would otherwise not have access to life-saving medications, doctor visits, food, housing, counseling, and much more.

Thanks to your generosity, advocacy, and involvement, we are now setting our eyes on the goal of reducing HIV transmission to ZERO by 2030.

Entering our third decade of the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, let's link up again, and End It Together!

Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day. This year I was proud to stand with the Austin City Council, @mayorsteveadler, and the Comprehensive HIV Planning Council as the city proclaimed Sunday, December 1st to honor the continued work of ending the epidemic. Each year, 12/1 is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for our long-term survivors living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness or complication. Consider registering for the @hillcountryrideforaids as a means to continue the work we still must do to ensure the most vulnerable have access to life-saving medication and care (link in bio). #worldaidsday2019 #hcra2020 ❤️
