About Kathy:
I have been retired for 11 years now. I took early retirement when our grandson, Logan, was born so I could take care of him while his parents worked. Twenty-one months later, his brother, Alex, was born. So, they kept me busy until we decided it was time to move to Kentucky.
Before taking care of the boys, I worked 24 years for several corrugated companies, Champion International, Stone Container, Smurfit-Stone Container (these three companies had merged during this timeframe), and then International Paper Co. for an additional five years. I held many different jobs during that time; Secretary to the Regional VP of Sales, Customer Service Manager, Sales Rep, and Project Manager were my most prominent roles.
I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where I lived all my life until four years ago when my husband and I moved to Grand Rivers, Kentucky. My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents lived in and near Central City, Kentucky so I have been coming to KY all my life and fell in love with the area, and now, I finally live here. My husband, Larry, and I met at work and will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in May 2025. I have two children, a son, and daughter, and a stepson. We have five grandchildren, and another is expected in August of 2024.
